We enjoyed our stay in this historical castle, which was a fun experience for our family, especially for our kid. The surrounding area is great for cycling and hiking, and we had a lovely dinner at the restaurant. The comfortable beds made for a good night's sleep.
My wife says that the restroom facilities could really use some upgrading.

the check-in process was a disaster, they misplaced my reservation and expected me to be fine with a smaller room! the breakfast was nothing to write home about either, just dry bread and a few sad slices of meat. you woudl ve thought a castle would do better, but I almost thought about giving a good review—just couldn’t.

We had an amazing time staying in a medieval castle with friends. Exploring the grounds after hours was a highlight, and we loved easy access to the Frankenweg Trail for some great hiking. The flat-screen TV and cable programming kept us entertained in the evenings. Breakfast offered plenty of options to fuel our adventures! I highly recommend this unique experience.
One downside was the lack of air conditioning, which made some nights a bit uncomfortable, especially during the warmer weather.

Staying in a castle was a blast!
We spent my son's bday here, and it was so cool to explore! The old castle vibe was awesome, especially after dark. The dinner was super tasty, and our room was comfy. Just wished the wi-fi was faster, but it didn’t ruin our fun. Perfect place for a family getaway!

It was a prime choice for a city trip in Harburg, offering great value for the money. The friendly staff made check-in a breeze, even helping with local dining recommendations. Consider bringing your own snacks, as the on-site options are limited.
